The Bolsover School celebrates another year of excellent GCSE results

There have been scenes of elation at The Bolsover School today as students opened their GCSE results for the 2024 examination series. Year upon year our students show the utmost resilience and determination to produce fantastic results that put them in very good stead for their further education and potential career.

This year has seen wonderful results with 61% of our students achieving a 4+ in English and Maths, alongside a further 40% attaining a 5+ in English and Maths.

A total of 33 grade 9s have been awarded to our year 11 students.

These amazing achievements are down to the hard work and studying that our students have engaged in over the last 5 years. Head of School Steph Spence commented, “On behalf of all of the staff here at The Bolsover School, I would like to congratulate the students on their achievements. I am fully aware of how much hard work was involved right from the word go and would like to wish the students all the very best for whatever the future holds”.

Executive Headteacher Matthew Hall said, “Once again our students have done us proud, I truly wish all of our outgoing year 11 students all the very best for the future”.

Amongst the success stories is William Travell who has excelled in his subjects achieving 7 grade 9s and 1 grade 8. These results are exceptional and are well deserved for such a hard-working student. William is going to St Mary’s Catholic High School in Chesterfield to study Computer Science, Maths and Further Maths in September.

Other successes include Braedon Dahill and Georgia Burdis who have received excellent grades across their subjects.

We wish the class of 2024 every success for the future and would like to say not only a huge congratulations to our students, but thanks to all who have supported them along their journey at The Bolsover School, part of Redhill Academy Trust. You have all played a part in helping them become ‘Nothing but the best’.
