The Bolsover School Celebrates GCSE Success

Students and staff at The Bolsover School, who are part of The Redhill Academy Trust, are celebrating success in this year’s GCSE examinations! 77% of students achieved a pass (grade 4-9) in English, which is a significant improvement on 2019 results. Similarly, 75% of students achieved in Mathematics, while 70% of the Year 11 cohort achieved a grade 4 or above in both English and Mathematics, which is another noteworthy improvement on the 2019 results.

Headteacher Matthew Hall said “We at The Bolsover School are so proud of our Year 11 students receiving their GCSE results. The Year 11 students have shown resilience and determination throughout their time at The Bolsover School, working through the pandemic and undertaking prolonged periods of virtual learning. Their maturity and hard work will help them flourish as they move on to their next steps in education”

Special mention should go to Bella Hamilton Dale, who achieved 10 Grade 9’s! This is an amazing achievement and puts Bella within the top percentage GCSE students in the country, achieving a Grade 9 in all of her GCSE subjects. Bella is going on to study A-Levels at St Mary’s High School.

Further congratulations go to Jess Siddall who achieved five Grade 9’s, Logan Halligan who received four of the top grade and Taylor Bowman, Charlotte Connely and Cara Foss who attained three Grade 9’s.

Mr Hall added “We recognise the achievements of every pupil, with our students now going onto Sixth Form, College or an Apprenticeship. We wish them every success in all of their endeavours, they really have been ‘Nothing but the best’”.
