School Meals
Cashless Catering System
At The Bolsover School we operate a ‘Cashless System’ for payment of food and drink items purchased in our Refectory. The key features are as follows: -
Students pay termly, monthly, weekly or daily for school meals by: -
- ParentPay – this is a service the school provides as the primary way to pay for school meals. The system can also be used to pay for educational visits and resources (please see information under Parent Pay and Parent Apps)
- Through a proximity card each student is identified and the cost of food purchased is deducted from their account – subject to a maximum of £4 per day (or a selected maximum limit selected by you)
- Cash can be paid onto a catering account by the students using one of the two “Revaluation Stations” located in the entrance to the Refectory, but as The Bolsover School is moving towards becoming a cash free school, we would ask that you use ParentPay or PayPoint where possible.
Parents/carers are able to request reports on what their child has purchased by contacting the Operations Manager.
Students entitled to free school meals will automatically have the cost of a free meal credited to their account daily – this credit can be spent either at break or lunchtime, but is only credited once and additional credit is required to cover the cost of any purchases over and above the free school meal value. It should be noted that any un-spent funds will not be carried forward to the next day.
Any queries relating to catering should be directed to the Catering Manager in the school Refectory and queries relating to other items should be directed to the Finance Administrator or Operations Manager in the main school office.
All students will be entered onto the system on their first day in school and the system will be explained to them in detail at that time.
Should you have any queries with regard to this system, please do not hesitate to contact the Operations Manager.
